Frank Lloyd Wright&#039;s buildings and village plans may be the architectural equivalent of &#039;opinionated software&#039;... 
I visited his campus in Phoenix a couple of years ago. Several buildings were designed without windows (they were put in later, after much discussion - sitting in your living room with sand blowing over is less than comfortable I guess), and several surfaces not level on purpose.  
You can see my preferences for glass-enclosed and level rooms in the &#039;without&#039; and the &#039;not&#039; ;). Having said that, the buildings do have a &#039;different&#039; feel about them that is not entirely unpleasant.
